7-Car Crash Shut Down Part Of Rt 309 In MontCo: Police

A multi-vehicle crash caused Route 309 in Montgomery County to shut down for two hours Friday morning, Oct. 18, police said.

The highway was closed between Highland Avenue and Susquehanna Road due to a crash involving multiple vehicles, according to the Upper Dublin Township Police Department's Facebook page. 

There were at least seven vehicles involved in the crash and one of them may have caught fire, NBC 10 News reported.

Emergency responders were initially dispatched to the northbound 309 exit ramp at Highland Avenue at 5:23 a.m., according to authorities. Ambulances were dispatched to the same area at 5:25 a.m.

No information regarding injuries has been released at the time of publication. Daily Voice reached out to the Pennsylvania State Police and was told that there was no information available at this time.

The highway was reopened at 7:25 a.m., according to police.

Upper Dublin Township police assisted the Pennsylvania State Police on scene.
